Food to Grow

See our Success Story on USDA SNAP-Ed Connection!

UH Food to Grow offers free seedling kits and resources to low-income populations to increase their access to healthful foods and improve vegetable intake by encouraging recipients to start their own produce gardens at home. Seedling kits include a bush-variety green bean seedling in a paper pot (see directions), extra bean seeds, and a flyer which provides information on SNAP benefits, detailed green bean growing directions, and a tasty local recipe!
