Ingredients

Marinade

  • ½ cup soy sauce (shoyu)
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed (approximately 2 tsp)
  • 1 stalk green onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp roasted sesame seed, crushed
  • ¼ tsp chili pepper powder (optional)

Steak

  • 1lb steak, teriyaki-style cut
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • cooking spray

Sauce

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup ko cho jang paste
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, mashed (approximately 1 tsp)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine marinade ingredients and add steak. Marinate for 1 hour.
  • Flour meat, then dip into slightly beaten eggs.
  • Heat non-stick frying pan over medium heat and coat with cooking spray. Add meat and fry until golden brown. Spray pan after each batch is cooked.
  • Serve hot with sauce.
