I’m a Youth Nutrition Educator with EFNEP and I find my work meaningful for so many reasons. As a people-person, meeting and getting to know people brings me joy. I enjoy the challenge of learning about their needs and creating a class that supports each participant. As a parent, I’m personally invested in finding ways to save money while feeding my family well, so I love that my job encourages me on that journey. It’s rewarding to see our students learn about how to improve their food and wellness choices every day.

Aloha! I’m a SNAP-Ed educator on the Westside and South-Central areas of Oʻahu. I enjoy the work I do because I'm able to combine my experience in teaching with my passion for nutrition. I also love meeting new people in our communities through my classes. It brings me great joy to share information about health, fitness, and wellness!

I’m part of the EFNEP program. As a Nutrition Educator, I will be servicing the East side of Oʻahu Island. I am new to Hawaiʻi and  was thrilled to find this job the first day I moved here. I was almost too tired to answer the ad! I'm so glad I did because this job has two components of equal importance:  community involvement in the form of speaking and training, as well as the focus on diet and nutrition. It’s the perfect job. I'm glad to be here.

Aloha! I have been with EFNEP since 1996 and I service the island of Hawaiʻi. I enjoy sharing and giving back to others what I learned as a former participant of this great program. I love leading workshops and cooking so this is the perfect job for me. It is rewarding to see participants achieve their goals to lead a healthy and active lifestyle.

Aloha! I’m a SNAP-Ed Educator who will be focused on the North-Central side of O’ahu. I’m new to the program, but very excited to meet with different agencies and people who show an interest in stretching their food dollars and making small, but important changes to their lifestyle.  When a fellow colleague mentioned the job position and what it involves, it immediately caught my attention since it allows me to travel to different locations and interact with those who would like to learn creative ways to spend less and eat better.

I am new to the Snap-Ed Program on Hawaiʻi Island. I have always had an interest in food and taking a recipe and adjust it to form a healthier version. In my previous job in managing dental offices, a huge part of our clients were on the food stamp program and in watching the end result of poor hygiene along with poor diet, it was then that I had a desire to educate them on eating better and maximizing the use of their benefits, which this program provides. I am excited to learn and educate the recipients on what this program has to offer.

Aloha! I am a SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educator. I have been here since 2015. When I first started, I serviced Statewide. I love my job. It has a little of everything: work from home, office work, paperwork, computer work, and working with others. I love that I get to service different communities. I took this class back when I was living in a place that offered these classes, so my life has come full circle. I work with Single Adults and Seniors and I enjoy talking with them and learning their knowledge and sharing everyone's experiences.
